To Junction, UT in Junction RV park for the summer(thru Oct 18th) Camp Host

Drove from Flagstaff (300 miles) to Junction May 9th.  Arrived in Junction RV park about 4:00 pm local time.  Stopped at Flying J in Page to fill up.  Arrived with 3/4 tank.

Two spaces shy of full.  One more due in this afternoon.

Monday, June 6: another beautiful day.  High 81.

I left Harlingen down 15 gallons off full.  One way diesel cost $878 + 20 gallons (arrived with 3/4 tank).  Diesel prices have since gone up in May/June.

June 8: Jan has a dental appt with Chisholm in Monroe today.

Tom's fridg will not cool down after plugged in to extension cord at his house.

June 14: Low came thru yesterday,  low last night 38.  75 today.  Tom/Bev are back on the road headed our way, after having AC issues.

Sunday, June 19:  power out @ 8:00 am.  Power Co is replacing a cable. ETA 4 hours.  Running generator.  Today is third day with high gusty winds.  Lots of tree branches down.  Power back up at 10:00 am.

Day trips to Bryce & Zion Nat Parks with Tom & Bev.

We just talked to Randy and agreed to come back next year as Camp Host.(2023)

Leaving Junction Oct. 19.  To J&H Rv in Flagstaff for 1st night,  Oct. 20 to American RV in Albuquerque for one night, then on to Amarillo Oasis RV Oct. 21-27, then on to Rockwell RV in Oklahoma city for 3 nights, Fri-Sun, Oct 28-30. Then South toward Harlingen.

Probably stop at I35 RV park in Waco.

To Flagstaff in J&H RV park 2 nights May 7-8

 Drove from Albuquerque  on I40 to Flagstaff, 320 miles. Stopped twice at Flying J truck stops for fuel (15 gallons, then 19 gallons).  Wind was terrible (from SW 20-30 gusty). 

Took exit 211 off I40 toward highway 89.  Once on 89, just 2 miles to park.

J&H RV park rates $138 for two nights, $69/night.  Gravel space with trees, fairly level,  good cable.  JoAnn & Harvey Mickelson

WiFi is not bad, better than most RV parks

To Albuquerque, American RV resort, 2 nights, May 5-6

 Drove from Lubbock to Albuquerque today.  Took highway 87. All the way to I40.  Divided highway in TX, 2 lane in NM and much rougher.  322 miles.  Lots of cross wind.  Had to slow down for each small town.  

American pull thru #209. Concrete level pads, cable.  2 nights $120.70($60.35/night). WiFi is worthless.

Filled up at Loves across the exit (149) on TSD card. Deisel is still tooooo high.($5.58 at pump,  TSD price $5.30)  according to open road app, UT prices are 20 cents cheaper.

Got Grit on TV.  Bought two new water holes at Walmart.

To Lubbock at 289 RV Park Tuesday May 3-4, 2 nights

 Drove from Kerrville to Lubbock today tuesday May 3nd, 344 mile.  Took I10 W to Junction, turned N on 83 to Eden, took 87 NW all the way to Lubbock.  Checked in 289 RV park for 2 nights ($33/night).  Stopped at Sams for diesel (4.78)..one diesel pump working.  I needed 50 gal.  Pump stopped at $125, 26 gal.  Second transaction $98, 20.46 gal).

I got on roof and took cover off A/C.  Turned it on.  Did not notice any problems.

Went back on roof with compressed air.  Blew out water line.  Will see if I did any good.

Went to O'Reilly and bought gallon of Zerex antifreeze,   then came home to find the lower radiator hose leaking.  Tightened up hose clamp,  then used half a gallon to refill overflow tank.  Cleaned up taped solar cables.

Tornado watch this evening in Lubbock.

To Kerrville at Buckhorn Lake RV resort May 1st for 2 nights

 Drove from harlingen today Sunday May 1st to Kerrville Buckhorn Lake RV park. 324 miles.  Left at 9:00 am stopped in Comfort Loves for diesel. (54 gal, $284.97 at pump).  Arrived about 4:00 pm. Space #6080 pull thru.  We are on our way in Junction, UT.  Next stop Lubbock.

Buckhorn pass thru #6080 cost $49.50/night in middle of park.

2100 Monday night: main A/C condensation is dripping inside drivers side slide over my chair.  I think it is froze up.  Will leave it off til we get to Lubbock.

To Harlingen from Kerrville Nov 29th, for Winter Season 2021-2022

Drove from Kerrville to Harlingen today.  Left Buckhorn RV about 9:00. Arrived in Harlingen at 4:45 pm.  Lost 30-40 minutes on 410 backup behind car accident.  Filled up at Ranger truckstop (42.5 gal , $158 on TSD card).   Coach ran good.

Alan & Kay are staying in our RV in space # 392 starting last week of Nov.  There coach broke down in Oklahoma City (Rush trucking).  Took 2 months to get fixed.  Alan and I drove up and drove back the RV with Jeep in tow Jan 27-28. 813 miles one way.

Now both coaches are in space 392.  Rain is keeping us from moving mine back in storage area.

Feb 17th:2022-   nominated for Advisory  Board, 4 year term

April 1: last month in Harlingen.  We leave May 1st headed toward Junction, UT.  Stops in Kerrville,  Lubbock, Albuquerque,  Flagstaff.  2 nights each.  Arrive in Junction May 9th-10th.

To Kerrville, TX Buckhorn Lakeside RV resort for 2 weeks Nov 15-29, 2021

 Leaving Monday Nov. 15 for Kerrville, Tx.  Buckhorn RV resort for 2 weeks. 320 miles

Back on 29th. Cost $528.70($37.76/day) for 2 weeks, site 6098, row just before bridge(drive forward into site).  WiFi excellent,   cable is good.

Arrived about 3:00 pm with Tom/Bev Blair.  Tom's rig below in site 6097.

Tuesday, Nov 23: played 9 holes of golf with Tom.  I am definitely a beginner.  Cost $24/each which included a cart.  We warmed up at driving range first.

I basically played with 4 clubs:  hybrid driver,  #3 driver, pitching wedge, & putter.

We had several nights get down in the high 30's with daytime highes in the 50's.

The kids stay wrapped up in blankets in the early mornings on our cold days.
