In Harlingen, TX at Tropic Winds RV park
Arrived back in Harlingen at Tropic Winds RV park Saturday (Aug 20, 2016). South wind 20 knots all day. Phaeton's main A/C fan noise has been getting louder the last two days. Temp = 96, heat index = 104, but humidity only 50%. It took several hours to cool down the park model.
In Mathis (S of San Antonio) on I-37 at Mustang Hollow Friday night
Stopped last night (friday) at Mustang Hollow campground. ($37) , no cable or local channels. Mud holes in dirt road. Trains passed all night. 148 miles from Harlingen.

In Corsicana, TX at American RV Park one night (Aug 18)
Long day on the road (west on I-20, 362 miles). Turned south on hwy 31. Heading toward I-35. It rained three times today, then rained at dark. I had to stop at a pilot for gas and add coolant (low coolant sensor went off).
American RV park($30). Paved pull thru, but no cable. Local channels ok.

In Vicksburg, MS at Magnolia RV Park for one night (Aug 17) west on I-20
Tiffin technician thru up two road blocks this morning: tiffin will NOT deal with extended warranty companies, service was back logged three weeks.
We decided to leave. Got on the road about 10:40. Stopped in Vicksburg, Magnolia RV Park for the night ($29). In pull thru, 50 amp, with cable. Did 280 miles today.

In Red Bay, AL at Bunk House RV campground ( Aug 16 )- Tiffin Manufacturing plant
We arrived in Red Bay, AL at the Tiffin manufacturing plant mid afternoon Tuesday (Aug 16 ). Tiffin RV park was full, so we are parked in Bunk House RV campground for hopefully one night. Hopefully we will move into Tiffin' s park Wednesday. A technician is supposed to come and discuss our list wednesday morning.
No cable, only three channels on antenna. No locals. I guess we will watch dvd's.

In Bremen, GA at Yogi Bear's Jelly stone RV Park for one night (aug. 15)
Stopped in Bremen, GA just west of Atlanta.
We are travelling west on I-20 to Red Bay, AL Tuesday to the Tiffin RV manufacturing plant. We have a short maintenance list to get fixed. We stopped here for one night.
Overnight cost $36.79. In pull thru. We did not disconnect the car. No cable.

In Yemassee, SC (half way between Charleston, SC and Savannah, Ga at Oaks of South Point TT RV park (Aug 1-15)
Traveled 244 miles today from Hendersonville, NC to Yemassee, SC down I-26 to Oaks at South Point TT. This park is on the Frampton Plantation grounds. We plan on spending a week visiting Charleston and Savannah.
#1 AIR GAUGE started bouncing between zero & correct pressure while in slow down.
Does not affect brakes. Must be faulty gauge. Happened 6 times. Park has lots of trees, basic cable, WiFi in office only. Parked in 60 ' pull thru (#85). Humidity is high today.
Tuesday: trip to Beaufort Walmart. Passed by a drive Inn Theater down highway 21.
Wednesday: Frampton plantation home, then to Savannah river walk. Pizza for supper at Spankies(very good).
Thursday: drove to Beaufort, tour historic church/cemetery (St Helena's Episcopal ) that was established in 1721. Visited Old Sheldon Church ruins. Then on to Hilton Head island to the light house.
Added a week to our stay, reserved until Aug 15th.
Friday: rainy all afternoon. Went to see Jason Bourne movie in Beaufort.
Saturday: rainy! Laundry day.
Sunday: trip to St Helena Island, visited Penn center, chapel òf ease!
, then fort fremount. Back to Beaufort main street and water walkway.
Monday (aug. 8): day trip to Charleston Boone Hall Plantation ($24 ea). Spent all afternoon touring bottom floor of main house(4th sinse 1700's), slave houses, dock house, open car ride around the paremeter. 800 year old Oak trees. Hurricane Hugo (1989) destroyed most of 15 k pecan trees, only 1000 survived. Stopped on way back (hWY 17) to eat at local restaurant (harvest Moon). Good beef liver & onions.
Wednesday(Aug 10th ) : trip south down I95 toward Savannah to camping world, national museum of the Mighty Eight Air Force, Pooler, GA.
Friday (Aug 12): trip to Bluffton to Heyward House with guided tour ($8 ea), then Church of the Cross, then to Nissan dealer for oil change.
Monday (Aug 15): traveling today NW toward Red Bay, AL (520 mi). We should make at least half way, in the Atlanta area.
