In Fruita, CO at Monument RV Park for a week

Drove from Angle Fire to Fruita, CO (355 MI ) today.  Took 9 hours on lots of narrow roads, passes, and canyons.  Arrived at Monument RV park around 5:30 pm.  Park is semi-tight.  Gravel spaces.  Good WiFi & cable. Temp is warm (low 90's).  We plan on  staying a week (til 24th, $260.62/week).  MH fresh water pump went out.  Short in wiring?  Pump is working.  Air gauge #1 errored out 20 times while driving.  20 amp breaker trips on main A/C.

Tuesday, July 18th:
  Jan washed clothes.  I removed the #1 air gauge and checked the air & electrical connections.  Called Freightliner with p/n W22-00008-054, 2 " 12 V air gauge prim.
Cost $260.  I decided to keep the current gauge.

Wednesday, July 19th:
  Went to palisades, CO, on east end of Grand Junction to wineries:





Joined the Wine club to receive 2 bottles per quarter.  Bought 3 bottles of peach wine.

Stopped at Discount Tire and had them check our front tires.  All OK!

Thursday, July 20th:
    Took a road trip east on I70 90 miles to Glenwood Springs.  Climbed up a half mile trail to local cemetery to where Doc Holliday is maybe buried.





Took gondola ride ($16/each) up Mountaintop Adventure Park in in Glenwood Springs, CO:

Friday, July 21:
   Best biscuits & Gravy ever:
Took short road trip into Colorado National Monument. Entered from Fruita, exit into GraND Junction:

 Stopped at Harley.  No trikes on floor.



Ate Barbecue tonight.  Very good!!



Leaving Fruita Monday morning , headed to southern Utah.

In Angle Fire, NM at Angle Fire RV Resort for a week

Arrive in Angel Fire from Albuquerque today Monday, July 10 - 17. Weekly rate $328.43.  Drove 159 miles.  Last 20 thru Taos canyon. In space 208.
Rain showers started at 7:00 pm.  Cable TV channels are screwy.

Tuesday, July 11th
   Trip to Red River, NM.  Afternoon showers cooled to 67 degrees.  Jan bought her swinging bear.

Rained most of afternoon.  Ate at pizza restaurant:



Thursday, July 13th
   Ate breakfast at Bakery & Cafe in Angle Fire, then drove to Taos.




Ate supper at the Angle Fire Brewery:

It is a cool 64 degrees, cloudy and wet Thursday evening.  Low clouds over the mountain range.

Friday, July 14th:
   Stayed at MH.  Cloudy and rainy.  Temp in low 60's.
   Spotted this girl in Walmart yesterday with belt around her waist, holding purse on left side and Big knife on right side.  Zoom in to see knife.  She had a leather strap running from her purse down to her left knee!

I did not know NM was open carry with Bowie Knives?
Saturday, July 15th:
   Rain with bee bee size hail hit Angle Fire around 1300 hours.  We are waiting so we can go to Eagles nest.

Made reservations for 4 nights in Monument RV park in Fruita, CO on I70.

Sunday, July 16th
   Market Street downtown Angle Fire.  Jan bought a pine cone wreath. Worked on MH so we can pull out early Monday morning.  355 miles to Fruita, CO.  Fixed tire extension on drivers side inside dually.  Ate supper at sunset grill at ski lift.
