From Waco to Harlingen(home), Oct 28th for winter

 Drove from Waco to Harlingen (400 miles).  Arrived 5:00.  Parked in 169.  Long drive.

MobileHome survived 6. Month vacancy OK.

RV maint: 

  1. Middle clearance light burned out (replaced w/LED).  Bought spares

   2. Replaced black/grey cut off valve section drain.

Jan. 12, 2024 : cataract surgery on right eye thru Gulf Coast

Jan. 26th jan's right eye cateract  surgery

Working on getting RV front windshield replaced (installed March17, 2023), broke immediately after parking in storage.

Jan. 18 Kenzi is having teeth cleaned ($750)

Feb.  Dwain:  New right eye lens with cateract surgery. Near sited.  Driving glasses.

MH is getting new awnings (all except DS front slide) The Shade Shoppe($1214)

March 7 new front windshield ordered using Glass Doctor.  State Farm approved with gasket replacement.  DS double pain window is being replaced, also ($508).  Glass Doctor installed new windshield March 22(Friday).  WS cracked by Sat morning.  New replacement shipped under warranty  to Glass Doctor from Coach glass.  I paid $1000 ded.  Bill was $5200 not counting freight charge for replacement. Problem with front end.

Still scheduled to leave for Junction May 1st w/o coach.

April 2nd: Paisano diesel repair is fixing gauges,  replacing filters, ground wire, & door awning. Bill was $693(4 hrs labor @ $160/hr)

Coach is cleaned out and in storage.

BMO bank: coach picked up April 10, 2024. Will go to Austin auction.

From Amarillo to Waco, Blue Sky I35 RV park 1 night, Friday, Oct 27th

 Leaving Amarillo to Waco.  Blue Sky I35 RV park, Friday, Oct 27, 1 night. $59/night.  420 miles.  Bypassed Okla city due to cold weather this weekend.

Loop 335 around Amarillo was under construction.  Still dark @ 7:15.  Turned back on Western to I40.  I40 was clear. Lost an hour.  PS short bay door came open.  Latch fell out.  Had to duck tape door shut.   Stopped for diesel at Loves in Memphis.   35 gal,  two transaction.  Pump turned off on me after 6 gal.  2nd trn = 29 gal, $140 on open road.  Price $3.86.

Arrived at I35 RV park at 5:00 pm.  Heavy traffic thru Ft worth I35 @ 3:00.  Two rain storms 10 min apart.  Lost at least an hour.

In site # 40.  Front end very low.  Front tires off ground.  Antenna TV ok.

From Albuquerque to Amarillo, TX, Fort Amarillo RV Park, Oct 20-27, 1 week

 Drove East on I40 289 miles to Amarillo, Fort Amarillo RV park for 1 week, Oct 20-27. Weekly rate $247.50, nightly rate= $35.35

Rough road in right lane.  Lots of pot holes.  Windshield  cracked MORE!  Pull thru #124 dirt w/ concrete pad & table.  Stopped in Moriarty TA for diesel ($306, 66 gal). Discounted cost = $288

Fort Amarillo RV park's WiFi is very weak.  Cable is ok.  Got Grit on Antenna. 

From Winslow, AZ to Albuquerque, NM, American RV Park, Oct.18-19

 Drove from Winslow, AZ to Albuquerque,  NM east on I40.  256 miles.  I40 was rough. Lost PS front hub cap around Jamestown Flying J on I40.  PS slide awning did not retract last foot.  Stopped at rest stop and pushed slide out 2 feet, then back in successfully. 

Arrived at American RV about 4:15.  $45.86 paid today.  Site #211 pull thru. $105.72 total, 

$52.86/night.  I am leveling manually, because Auto level is wrong.  Needs re Celebrated. 

Came in with just over a quarter on gas gauge.   Will continue on 50 miles east to Moriarty,  NM TA truck stop for cheaper diesel ($4.17) discount price with Open Road.

From Flagstaff to Junction, May 9th, 2023 til Oct. 15th

 Drove from Flagstaff (J&H RV park) to Junction, UT, May 9th.  300 miles. Fuel at Flying J in Page, then topped off tank in Panguitch (Discover card). Arrived at Junction RV park around 2:00 pm. Here in Junction until Oct 15th.

Total diesel for trip = $983.70 one way 1649 miles, 358.45 gallons, 4.6 mpg, odo in Junction= 91,095

Saturday, May 27th (Memorial day weekend): 

  Park is half empty with no more reservations this weekend. Spaces 1,2,3,3.5,5,6 & 9

Are all empty!! This is weird .  Lots of RV traffic on highway 89.. Randy & Debbie

Are leaving sunday.  Beautiful weather.  Highs in mid 70's, lows in 40's.  

Neal/Vickie Bake in #7 for 3 months, Alan in #8 for the season.

3nd week of July.  Temps reached 98°.  Then 5 days @ 95°.  Then back to the low 90's.  

Mike/Lonnie (parked in storage area) got new fridg guts installed on July 24th.  Waiting on one more part(high temp sensor).

Allen(Randy's friend) arrived last night(in #9), July 24th.

Park is going to fill up starting Thursday for Butch Cassidy days (july 31-Aug. 5)

Park closes Oct 13.  Eclipse on 14th, leaving on Oct 17 to Winslow, AZ

From Albuquerque to Flagstaff, J&H RV park, 2 nights, May 7-8

 Drove west on I40, 315 miles to Flagstaff.  Left at 7:15, arrived by 2:00 pm. 2 night stay in J&H RV park, $70/night.  Gravel site #17 pull thru, cable, table.  I did not get all cable channels listed.  I think my MH cable is poor.

Park WiFi is strong enough to enter blog.

I40 winds picked up after noon from west, then south.  Last 50 miles with crosswind.

Filled up at Flying J in Jamestown. $137.78, 31.5 gal, $4.36 per gal at pump.

Passed TA at mark 283 east side.  Flying J at 255. Maverick at Winslow.

From Lubbock to Albuquerque, American RV, 2 nights, May 5-6

 Drove from Lubbock to Albuquerque (312 miles) to American RV park. Space 203 pull thru, nightly price=$60.35.  Arrived at 2:00 pm. Gassed up at Stripes on NM border. Discount price= $3.46.

Filled up in Albuquerque  at Loves. Discount price= $4.36

From Kerrville to Lubbock, Loop 289 RV park, May 3-4, 2 nights

 Drove from Kerrville  to Lubbock, 348 miles,  highway 83 then 87 thru Big Springs.  Diesel  at TA in Big Springs. 50 gal, $217 at pump, discount price $3.40

Pull thru #14 slab pad.  No WiFi or cable.  $30/night total=$60. Antenna channels good with Grit.

Ate at Braum's Wed night.  Thunderstorm Wed night, pee size hail.

 Drove from Harlingen to Kerrville(323 mi) on our 1st leg to Junction, UT.  Strong SE wind.  

Stopped in Loves at Three Rivers for fuel and lunch. 31.45 gal,$4.38, total $138.03

In Buckhorn pull thru #6067, $49/night, 2 nights. WiFi is too slow to use.  Cable low end channels loose reception.   Changing cable to pedestal  did not help.
