To Kerrville, TX @ Buckhorn Lake RV Aug 11-Sep 2, 22 days

 Drove from Waco to Kerrville.   209 miles.  Arrived @12:30.  18 days, $652.99, $36.28/day. In space #6119, adult only section.  Nice shade, concrete level slab, patio furnature.  Grit was included with local channels on dish.  Cable seems to work ok.

Pay for electricity after exit.($78.35)

Monday, aug 16 @ 6:30 pm power brownout, due to thunderstorms.

Friday, aug 20th:  trip to Bandera with Tom/Bev.  Ate pie at OST restaurant. 

Nov 2022 reservation $41.43/day (21 days $870) plus electricity.

Hurricane scheduled monday Aug 30 ( traveling sunday), sooo rescheduled our exit to sept 2 (added 4 nights). No extra charge.  Just owe electric when we leave.  

Jeep front left brake is sticking.  Jeep dealer is performing a brake job (OEM parts).

Also servicing rearend, both transmission cases, flush radiator.   Taken in tuesday, due back thursday.  Collapsed  brake line! Cost $3070.63. Front brakes are now new!

Wed. Sept 1st:  packing up for travel day tomorrow Thursday Sept. 2nd back to Harlingen.

To Waco @ I35 RV Aug 9-10, 2 nights

 Drove from Lake Texoma TT to Waco I35 RV park.no problems.  170 miles,20-30 southly wind (head wind) stopped at Ft worth Pilot for diesel.  Arrived about 12:45 pm.  In space #24.  Dirt pull thru space.   WiFi is good enough to update blog. $88 / 2 nights ($44/day)

Tuesday, Aug 10th: trip to Texas Rangers Museum ($7.00 ea)



To Lake Texoma Thousand Trails Aug 4-8

 Drove from Checatah, OK to TT.  149 miles.  Arrived @ 11:30.  In site A45.  50 amp pull thru.  Cost extra $3.00 per night($15 total).



We had a brown out 2 hrs after arriving.  Power off for 1 minute.

Wed, Aug 4th:  Carl / Judy took us out to Pelican Landing Cafe.

Friday, Aug 6:  trip to Carl/Judy Johnsons.  Ate BBQ at Smokey Joe's at Turner Falls ($40.00). Very good!  

TT is adding 50 amp section in shade trees.  No sewer.


To Checotah, OK @ Onapa RV Aug 3nd, for 1 night

 Drove from Branson, MO to Checotah, OK (213 miles).  Windy narrow roads past highway 65, to 419.  Turned S on I49 down to I40 west into OK.  Arrived in Onapa RV park @ 2:00 pm.  One night $25.00.  Antenna got most locals plus grit.

To Branson, MO at Turkey Creek RV(Hollister) July 20-Aug 3nd , 2 weeks

 Site TC-G8,  $335.52 FOR 14 NIGHTS($23.93/night)

Arrived at 2:00 pm.  No problems.  Bought gas at Flying J in Joplin.  Gravel site.  With table.  Tight.  Barely have room for jeep.  No local channels.  Finally got dish working wed afternoon after 2 hours on phone with tech support.  Wally receiver was not sending volts thru coaxial cable to antenna.   Coax cable is still flaky on receiver.  Dish is working for now.  Hard reset plus putting a meter on contact made it start working.

Met with Alan / Kay, signed up for 5 year plan in Skymed as of July 30th, 2021.

Branson scenic railroad trip was a joke.  Saw nothing but trees.  Cost $34 each.

Grand Country Buffet was $31.40 for two breakfasts.  Not worth it.

I had to go buy needles & lancets at Walmart to get me home.  Aug 1st: temps came down 10 degrees to low 80's.  


To Chandler, OK at Oak Glen RV July 19, 1 night

 From Amarillo, on our way to Branson, MO.  Stopping overnight in Chandler, OK

For one night in Oak Glen RV park.  312 miles today. $29 for one night.  One only concrete

Pass thru pad in park (P57).  Almost level.  Jacks down ok.





No problems on the road.  Over the air antenna only.  We did get Grit.

In Amarillo at Oasis RV park July 12-18

 Drove from Borger to Amarillo to Oasis RV park. Space #21.  1 week $294.  7 nights til

July 19th.  Arrived just after noon. 





Wed: supper with Gary & Amy @ Chueys.

When arriving,  I got the PS back jack down with the base pad flipped on its side.  Jack down on concrete.  No springs to pull it up.  I had to pry it up with my screw driver a little at a time.  Need a pry bar.  Cost me 30 minutes drive time.
